VOTING IN STYLE...

Gg_for_president_2
This is my public service announcement, this may be the first and last time I ever write anything remotely to do with current affairs but now that I have had the right to vote for some time now (geez, centuries it seems) and this is freedom of speech and all I just wanted to say being an uninformed voter is just as bad as not voting at all.
If you are confused and are voting based on how cute a candidate is or because they are the choice of George Clooney or some other devastatingly handsome celeb before you do so, you may want to gather a little knowledge for your own edification and who knows if you happen to run into one of your fave celebs you can shoot the sh**t on your joint political views or have a rather steamy debate on why you are opposed, either way you won't be some bubble head that has nice shoes and no opinion.
This is surely an amazing time a woman and a black man under serious consideration is something that should make the average American take notice.  I asked a friend if they were going to vote this Tuesday and they said "Nah, I don't want to be called in for jury duty".  Hmmm?  This is why I don't have many friends, people say the darndest things, but at least they told the truth, right?   Well, before you decide to vote or not too (the beauty of choice).  I figured that if you were too embarrassed to ask or you didn't know where to start that I would dole out some links to sites that may help inform you:

  • CALIFORNIA PRIMARY VOTER GUIDE-This breaks down all those nasty propositions that confuse even the most politico.  It has a nice breakdown of the candidates for each party, did you know there's another woman wanting the candidacy?  Well here you will find all that delightful information out..
  • THE DIRT-More than you think you ever wanted to know...
  • POP QUIZ-Here's something that well help you choose via a quiz, everyone loves quizzes, right?

If you are so inclined you can also stop by your preferred candidates websites.  One thing I should add here is you may agree with what someone is saying but the question to then ask yourself is whether they can actually implement it and if they have a track record of results.  I mean I want everyone to be able to buy the house of their dreams and have the opportunity to take extended vacations but that doesn't mean I can feasibly do this, I need a plan and need to know how to make it happen, (don't worry I will let you know when I have that figured out).  One last thing, rent Sicko by Michael Moore, I didn't want to see it, I balled my eyes out when I did.  It's worth seeing if you are remotely confused by ***gasp***--Universal Health care.  If you have people opposed to this find out why, get informed!  Get as much information as your brain can take, this is so very important folks!  Phew...
